I used "Circa 1884" (Not 100% sure on the 1884) paint stripper and a scraper/100 grit sand paper/steel wool to get most of it off. Then I used 80 grit sand paper to get the rest off. Then, I used metallic silver spray paint on the crown after roughing it up a bit so the paint would stick (it was still black) and sprayed some of the paint on the bottom of the legs (lots of places were hard to get [I]completely [/I]raw, like the brake mounts) to get it even looking. I also sprayed some in the back of the arch. I did something like 2-3 coats of this, and then 3 coats of clear coat over the whole fork. Esentially, it was a bitch to do (5hrs of work at least). But now it's basically raw and will look stupidly nice with the frame. Pics will be posted later of the frame/fork combo.
